Ukrainian Interbank Currency Exchange was established in 1993, when Ukraine just laid the foundations of the foreign exchange market.

In the early 2000s UICE became an authorized exchange which started to conduct auctions for the sale of oil, gas condensate and coal, which are held today.

In December 2014 the National Bank of Ukraine allowed UICE to restart trading on currency derivatives.

UICE developed quickly and cemented its status as the main trading floor in the Ukrainian financial market and the largest settlement and clearing organization.

UICE has always held and holds an active position in the development and introduction on the market of new financial instruments. It actively cooperates with regulatory authorities, as well as directly with the participants of the financial and commodity markets.
